Coca-Cola All-State Community College Academic Team

New Century Scholars The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation sponsors the Coca-Cola All-State Community College Academic Team. In addition, the Coca-Cola Foundation, along with the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation recognizes the New Century Scholar. These two programs together provide almost $450,000 in stipends to student winners. Fifty students will be named Gold Scholars, receiving $1,500, fifty students will be named Silver Scholars, receiving $1,250, and fifty students will be named Bronze Scholars, receiving $1,000. A state may have multiple Gold, Silver, or Bronze Scholars. All scholars will also receive special medallions and will be listed in an April issue of the USA TODAY newspaper. Finally, an additional 150 national finalists will be selected from multiple states, each receiving a $1,000 stipend. Winners will be featured in USA TODAY on April 19, 2010.

The top scoring student in each of the fifty states will be named a New Century Scholar and will receive a $2,000 stipend. In addition, one student for a Phi Theta Kappa chapter in Alberta, Canada and one student for a Phi Theta Kappa Chapter outside of the United States and Canada will be awarded. New Century Scholars will be presented at the AACC Convention.

To be eligible for this program, students must submit an application for the USA TODAY All-USA Community College Academic Team/Coca-Cola All-State Community College Academic Team.
